Apparently, there are some kids in horror films that fans do not like. It's become a bit of a meme with certain horror film characters. Of course, it is not that the audience has anything against the kids in real life, but something about the performances is annoying. It's really a thing among fans.

A Quiet Place
Beau Abbott from A Quiet Place is one of the child characters that fans considered annoying, but I should mention that that's why you have to look after kids. They have no concept of danger or that actions have consequences. He just wanted to play with a toy that makes noise but didn't understand the noise would ring the monster dinner bell.
Orphan (2009)
In Orphan, fans seem split between disliking both children in the family, which is weird. That is because Esther is a 33-year-old woman pretending to be a child who is a serial killer, but okay. The youngest child, Max, can't even scream, and Daniel is only trying to warn everyone else, so I think their sympathies are with Esther.
Vivarium (2019)
This one makes more sense. In Vivarium, a young couple is forced to care for The Boy, an infant that grows astonishingly while trapped in an endless subdivision of identical homes. The Boy grows at an astonishing rate, and the "parents" become alarmed as it seems clear they will not make it out. Whatever The Boy is, he's pretty disturbing, to be honest.
Halloween Ends (2022)
Jeremy, the kid from the opening sequence of Halloween Ends, is what we like to call a babysitter's nightmare. You're just trying to get through the night, and the kid won't stop playing and trying to trick you. It didn't work out great for Jeremy, though.
The House by the Cemetery (1981)
Poor Bob. Horror fans seem to have a strong antipathy against Bob in Lucio Fulci's The House by the Cemetery. People go out of their way to hate Bob online. Is it the bobbed haircut? The screaming? His insistence on carrying around that stuffed monkey and walking into danger? No one has adequately explained this phenomenon, including a Twitter account that tweets photos of Bob from the movie every hour.
The Lodge (2019)
Okay, I will admit that I understand why people do not like the kids in The Lodge. Mia and Aiden Hall have their reasons, but they hate their new stepmother and blame her for something they should blame their Dad for. However, they go too far and get a punishment they never expected.
The Babadook (2014)
Samuel in The Babadook is another child that is considered annoying. He has also become a meme, but in the film, he does manage to help his mother when she needs it. He has issues, but he means well. Poor Samuel.
A Bay of Blood (1971)
In Mario Bava's A Bay of Blood, the most surprising moment, and that's saying a lot, comes at the end. The two children that their murderous and scheming parents left alone for days are annoyingly chipper and possibly the most dangerous characters in the film.
The Visit (2015)
M. Night Shyamalan's The Visit has a lot going on, but one of the kids in the film annoys fans because of one scene. Yes, it's Tyler, the rapping kid, in the beginning. It's a found footage film, and the kids have, for some reason, conveniently decided to film a documentary about their grandparents whom they have never met. Their mom has decided to drop them off with the parents she hasn't seen in 15 years so she can go on vacation with her boyfriend, so there's much more to be annoyed about with the mom.
Burial Ground (1981)
Burial Ground is an Italian zombie shocker that, because of Italian laws prohibiting using children in films with sex and violence, cast a 25-year-old man as the child, Michael. Michael has also become a meme among horror fans, and I don't want to spoil it, but the character and what he does is a special kind of outrageous, even among the excesses of Italian zombie flicks.
