2024 FANGORIA CHAINSAW AWARDS Achievement in Non-Fiction Nominees

The 2024 FANGORIA Chainsaw Awards nominees have been announced, and we are breaking down the nominees in each category. The polls are open through July 20th, so if you have any blind spots on the list, you have a little bit of time to remedy that! We’re honoring the best new horror movies of the last year (and change). You can find more details about this year’s eligibility window in our nomination announcement.

In the meantime, let’s get to the nominees for Achievement in Non-Fiction. Past winners in this category include The 101 Scariest Horror Movie Moments of All Time and The Last Drive-in With Joe Bob Briggs. Amityville: An Origin Story

We did give out a special award at the 2023 FANGORIA Chainsaw Awards for Best Amityville, so you already know, we're into it.

The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs recently kicked off its sixth season with a new format. Season 5 was our last weekly dose of double-features with Joe Bob and Darcy and included highlights Tigers Are Not Afraid, Day of the Dead, and Possession.
Svengoolie

Beloved horror host Svengoolie has introduced new characters on his weekly show and also ventured into comic book creation. Svengoolie airs Saturday nights on MeTV.
