Talk to Me, one of the year’s most anticipated and already well-received horrors, gets a first poster today from distributor A24, along with the promise that the Sundance hit from Danny and Michael Philippou will also be getting its first trailer tomorrow.
Those of us at FANGORIA who’ve been lucky enough to see the supernatural horror during the course of its festival run are big fans, describing it as ‘legit scary but also packs quite a few laughs, feeling more like a film made by a seasoned pro rather than a feature debut.’
Yep, Talk to Me is the Philippou brothers’ debut, after years of sharing their talent on YouTube under the name RakkaRakka.
The film stars Sophie Wilde (You Donโt Know Me), Miranda Otto (Annabelle: Creation), Alexandra Jensen (Amazing Grace), Joe Bird (Rabbit), Otis Dhanji (Aquaman), Zoe Terakes (Wentworth), and Chris Alosio (Next Goal Wins) as “a group of friends [who] discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand, they become hooked on the new thrill, until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural forces.”
Talk to Me will be released wide in theaters on July 28, a perfect summer smash to chill your blood on those balmy nights. Below is the very ominous poster (featuring what is presumably said embalmed hand), and stay tuned for that trailer tomorrow…
