In an exclusive today, Deadline revealed that Other Angle Pictures has picked up international rights to the star-studded ensemble erotic horror Alone At Night. The film, previously known as 18 & Over will see North American distribution from Vertical Entertainment (No Escape, Incident in a Ghostland).
Director Jimmy Giannopoulos (The Birthday Cake) describes Alone At Night as “…the kind of movie I would have snuck into as a teen. Slasher, stoner, a sexy thriller with killer music…” and that “Playing on the nostalgia of my favorite B-horror we truly made a terrifyingly fun film.”
According to Deadline:
The film follows Vicky (Ashley Benson), a young woman looking for an escape after going through a tumultuous breakup. After retreating to a friend’s remote cabin in the woods to clear her head, she continues modeling sexy lingerie for her devoted followers on 18 & Over, an adults-only, live-streaming website. But when the power goes out, Vicky discovers something terrifying awaiting her in the dark — a masked killer wielding a crowbar who’s hellbent on bringing her night to a grisly end.
Alongside Pretty Little Liars’ Benson, Alone At Night’s cast includes Pamela Anderson (Baywatch), Luis Guzmán (Wednesday), Paris Hilton (House of Wax), model Winnie Harlow, Lindsey Pelas (Extraction), John Robinson (Lords of Dogtown), Cassius Corrigan (Huracán), and Sky Ferreira (Baby Driver).
The film’s original music was composed by People’s Choice award-winning rapper G-Eazy, in what will be his first film score.
Alone At Night is slated for release on January 20, 2023. While the film doesn’t have a trailer just yet, you can check out a first-look still of the film here!
