Do you remember Bagman? Because he remembers you. And you’ll be meeting him on September 20.
Bagman, from The Girl With All The Gifts director Colm McCarthy and writer John Hulme, is the latest supernatural horror from Lionsgate, and will have its official trailer launched next week.
Bagman stars Sam Claflin (Last Night in Soho), Antonia Thomas (The Good Doctor), Sharon D Clarke, Steven Cree, William Hope, Adelle Leonce, Peter McDonald, Henry Pettigrew, Carรฉll Rhoden, and Will Davis.
The plot synopsis reads as follows:
In the dark horror film BAGMAN, a family finds themselves ensnared in a nightmare as they are hunted by a malevolent, mythical creature. For centuries and across cultures, parents have warned their children of the legendary Bagman, who snatches innocent children and stuffs them into his vile, rotting bagโnever to be seen again. Patrick McKee (Claflin) narrowly escaped such an encounter as a boy, which left him with lasting scars throughout his adulthood. Now, Patrickโs childhood tormentor has returned, threatening the safety of his wife Karina (Thomas) and son Jake (Rhoden).
Bagman joinsย Imaginary, Boy Kills World, The Crow and The Strangers: Chapter One on Lionsgate’s 2024 horror slate so far.
If you haven’t seen McCarthy’s The Girl With All The Gifts (and adaptation of Mike Carey’s zombie novel of the same name), it’s well worth your time and certainly establishes McCarthy as a director with whom horror is in very capable hands.
