Joining Winnie the Pooh, Cinderella, Mickey Mouse and the Three Blind Mice in the newly-christened Twisted Childhood Universe (affectionately referred to as Poohniverse) ย is Umbrella Entertainment’s Bambi: The Reckoning, which gets a brand new trailer today.
Directed by Dan Allen (Unhinged),ย Bambi: The Reckoning is the first of the Poohniverse’s standalone films thatย will also include Peter Panโs Neverland Nightmareย and Pinocchio Unstrung.ย
An official pun-filled plot synopsis lets us know what we’re in for with this bloody desecration of another adorable Disney classic:
We follow Xana (Roxanne McKee) and her son Benji (Tom Mulheron) who find themselves in a car wreck and soon hunted down by the vicious killing machine, Bambi. Bambi will destroy anyone in its path! Oh dear, we aren’t done!
Incase you had a terrible childhood and haven’t seen the 1942 original, Disney’sย Bambi was based on Felix Staten’s 1923 novelย Bambi, a Life in the Woods,ย and follows the adorable little deer in his journey from fawn to Prince of the Forest. How closelyย Bambi: The Reckoning will stick to the storyline, and whether we’ll see a demonic take on Bambi’s woodland critter friends Thumper and Flower, remains to be seen.

Whether or notย Bambi: The Reckoning can reach those same heights remains to be seen.
At the time of writing, Bambi: The Reckoning does not have an official release date. Until we get one, here’s our first look at the antlered atrocity:
