Virtually everything we’ve seen thus far from Infinity Pool has left us foaming at the mouth to see Brandon Cronenberg’s latest mind-fuck: that creepy-ass first image, the ominous first trailer, the initial reports (no longer accurate) that the film was getting slapped with an NC-17 rating. Whatever Cronenberg’s up to this time, it seems deeply upsetting and nightmarishly designed – two flavors we certainly enjoy ’round these parts.

Today brings us Infinity Pool‘s first poster, and I am happy to report that the trend mentioned above is still in full swing:

Sexy, sinister, and simple in its execution, this is one gorgeous poster. Hey, NEON, how about sending a stack of these to FANGORIA HQ? We need new wallpaper in the break room and this’d be perfect.

For those just joining the Infinity Pool discussion, here’s what it’s about:

โ€œWhile staying at an isolated island resort, James (Alexander Skarsgรฅrd) and Em (Cleopatra Coleman) are enjoying a perfect vacation of pristine beaches, exceptional staff, and soaking up the sun. But guided by the seductive and mysterious Gabi (Mia Goth), they venture outside the resort grounds and find themselves in a culture filled with violence, hedonism, and untold horror. A tragic accident leaves them facing a zero-tolerance policy for crime: Either youโ€™ll be executed, or, if youโ€™re rich enough to afford it, you can watch yourself die instead.โ€

Brandon Cronenberg’s previous films have been full-on bangers, and we fully expect this one to kick our asses, as well. Thank God we don’t have to wait much longer for it: Infinity Pool lands in theaters on January 27th. We’ll see all of you at the theater.
