Yesterday, a brand new poster for Sam Curtain and Welcome Villain Films’ Beaten to Death got us hyped for the uber-violent Australian horror – and the hype continues today with a brand new trailer.

Dubbed a “welcome return to the Outback horror subgenre”, Beaten to Death has been shocking audiences since its premiere at A Night Of Horror International Film Festival, with horehounds praising the wince-worthy violence and extreme subject matter.

Starring Thomas Roach, David Tracy, Justan Wagner, Nicole Tudor, the plot synopsis for Beaten to Death reads as follows:

BEATEN TO DEATH unfolds after a desperate choice leads a man named Jack down a path that leaves him beaten and bruised as he struggles against man, nature, and his own insanity. Stranded in the middle of nowhere after barely surviving a horrific assault, Jack encounters one local after another and quickly learns that a sick game of cat and mouse is about to begin. Battling the deranged country psychos and the harsh landscape, Jack must go to extreme lengths to survive.

Sounds pretty damn intense to us, and the trailer certainly cements that vibe, with pounding fists, bloody flesh and a nice side helping of eye torture. Fun!

Beaten to Death opens in select theaters on September 1. Those who like their horror on the gruesome and gory side will want to get Beaten to Death on their watchlist STAT.
