THE BLACK PHONE (2021)

Bring The Black Phone home (plus a slew of bonus features!)

Never talk to strangers. Ethan Hawke (Sinister, Boyhood, Training Day) stars in this disturbing thriller based on the short story by Joe Hill (โ€œLocke & Key,โ€ Horns) and from Blumhouse and director Scott Derrickson (Sinister, Doctor Strange). Now available to own with captivating extras on Digital, Blu-ray, and DVD. Exclusive bonus content includes deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes featurettes with the cast and crew, Derricksonโ€™s short film Shadowprowler and a feature commentary by director, producer, co-writer Scott Derrickson.

The story focuses on Finney (Mason Thames), a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, who is abducted by a sadistic killer (Hawke) and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killerโ€™sย previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesnโ€™t happen to Finney.ย

Take a peek at some of the behind-the-scenes bonus features, including Ethan Hawke and Co. discussing what it’s like working with Derrickson, Cargill and Hawke talking about inspiration and what it was like growing up with these “mythical” killers, and a behind-the-scenes tour of a fun set led by a… ghostly apparition.
