Colorado horror fans, hold on to your hats: The Telluride Horror Show, Colorado’s first and largest horror film festival, returns for its 13th terrifying weekend on October 14th – 16th.

Every year, the festival attracts the latest & best genre films from around the world and attendees from all over the country for an incredible gathering of film fans in the world-famous mountain resort town of Telluride, Colorado. For three packed days, experience an eclectic mix of horror, suspense, thriller, dark fantasy, sci-fi and dark comedy in Telluride’s unique theaters, with many of the films showing for the first time in the US.

New features showing at Telluride come from 15 countries around the world and include Michelle Garza Cerveraโ€™s debut Huesera, Mark Jenkinโ€™s Cornish folk horror Enys Men, Travis Stevensโ€™ A Wounded Fawn and V/H/S/99, the latest in the found-footage anthology franchise. Vinegar Syndrome will also present a special showing of 1995โ€™s cult classic Ice Cream Man, alongside a special guest appearance and Q&A from the ice cream man himself, Clint Howard.

Tellurideโ€™s huge selection of shorts include Eros Vโ€™s Good Boy (โ€œA tiny, adorable Pomeranian turns out to be a psychotic killing machineโ€), Franรงois Ricard-Sheardโ€™s Smiley Face (โ€œThree young women experience the nightmare of being devoured by a humanoid creature in this experimental-musical-fantastical horror filmโ€) and Tiffany Kimmelโ€™s Everybody Goes to the Hospital, โ€œa haunting stop-motion animated incision into childhood trauma”. Check out the full schedule of amazing features and shorts here.

Guest authors present for public readings and book signings include Paul Tremblay (whose novel The Cabin at the End of the World is shortly to hit our screens in film form thanks to M. Night Shyamalan), Alma Katsu (The Fervor), Stephen Graham Jones (My Heart is a Chainsaw) and Jeremy Robert Johnson (The Loop).

As if the amazing guests, features and shorts werenโ€™t exciting enough, Sunday night gives pass holders a chance to flex those big horror brains during Fright or Wrong’s Horror Trivia, where players are encouraged to arrive dressed as their favorite horror villain (better crack those Halloween costumes out early, then)
