Ahead of its SXSW premiere this weekend, we’ve got a brand new poster for Brooklyn 45, the new supernatural Shudder Original from We Are Still Here‘s Ted Geoghegan.

Friday, December 27, 1945. Five military veterans gather in the ornate parlour of a Brooklyn brownstone. Best friends since childhood, theyโ€™ve reunited to support their troubled host โ€“ but when his invitation for cocktails turns into an impromptu sรฉance, the metaphoric ghosts of their past become all-too-literal. Trapped in their hostโ€™s lounge, the Greatest Generation now finds themselves put to one final test…with their only route to freedom being more bloodshed.

The suitably vintage looking poster depicts some of Brooklyn 45‘s cast, which includes Anne Ramsay (A League of Their Own), Larry Fessenden (Depraved), Ron E. Rains (The Onionโ€™s Film Standard), Jeremy Holm (House of Cards), Ezra Buzzington (The Hills Have Eyes), and Kristina Klebe (Rob Zombieโ€™s Halloween).

In an interview with The Austin Chronicle, Geoghegan shared that while Brooklyn 45 might be a supernatural chiller, it also very directly relates to the real-life horrors of war:

I wanted to make a film that liberal pacifists like myself could watch and go, โ€˜Fuck, war is hell, and it really does destroy people.’ But I also wanted people who are veterans, like my father and other people that I respect and admire, I want them to watch this film and go, โ€˜This is a nuanced look at what it’s like returning from the front.’
