Today brings us the first trailer for Apple TV+’s Constellation, a new sci-fi thriller series starring Noomi Rapace (Prometheus) as an astronaut who returns from a disastrous mission in space only to discover that things have changed while she was away. Or is she remembering them correctly to begin with? We don’t know, but finding out will probably make for a creepy good time!
As you can see in the trailer above, Rapace’s return to Earth is troubled on several fronts: her memory’s unreliable, she’s seeing things (did you catch that dead astronaut hiding in the shadows of a bedroom?), and her mission control commander (played by Breaking Bad‘s Jonathan Banks, and what a pleasure it is to see him popping up in another would-be prestige series) isn’t sure what the hell to make of the situation. What happened to her up there, and what happens now that she’s back? We’re curious to find out!
In addition to Rapace and Banks, Constellation also stars James D’Arcy, Julian Looman, William Catlett and Barbara Sukowa, and features episodes directed by Michelle MacLaren (Breaking Bad, Shining Girls), Oliver Hirschbiegel (Downfall), and Joseph Cedar (Our Boys). The series was created and written by War of The Worlds‘ Peter Harness. Quite a bit of talent on both sides of the camera for this one!
Constellation‘s first three episodes will hit Apple TV+ on February 21st, before going week-to-week through March 27th. Stay tuned for more on this one as further updates become available.
