Iconic survival horror sci-fi game series Dead Space is launching from screens to streams, with IGN exclusively revealing today that a podcast series entitled Dead Space: Deep Cover is en route from the Cineverse Podcast Network, Bloody Disgusting’s Bloody FM and EA Games.
This year’s Dead Space remake was almost universally critically acclaimed, with fans praising the immersive gameplay, horrifying creature design and terrifying storyline involving the mysterious Unitologist church. Unitology plays a big part of the upcoming audio series, with the official plot synopsis reading as follows:
“In Dead Space: Deep Cover, journalist Emmeline Ayuba searches for her sister, who reportedly joined a local Unitologist church.As she delves into the mysterious world of this church, she uncovers internal conflicts, strange customs and the personal sacrifices she must make to reunite with her sister.”
The series will be written by sci-fi writer Ben Counter, who is best known for his work in theWarhammer 40,000 franchise, and has worked on a number of other Cineverse podcasts including SCP Archives and Trevor Henderson’s Mayfair Watchers Society.

IGN lets us know that the series will become available in early 2024, and will be free on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and all other podcasting networks. There will be a total of 12 episodes and they will be released weekly – plenty of opportunity for terrifying cliffhangers, we’re sure.
