DRAG ME TO HELL

Sam Raimi‘s raucous and hilarious bloody horror Drag Me to Hell is finally getting the 4K Collector’s Edition treatment courtesy of Scream Factory.

Starring Alison Lohman, scream king Justin Long (Barbarian, It’s a Wonderful Knife), and Lorna Raver as the terrifying Mrs Ganush, Drag Me to Hell originally hit screens back in 2009, heralded as the Evil Dead director’s return to pure horror after some years working in the superhero game

In Drag Me to Hell:

The story focuses on a loan officer, who, because she has to prove to her boss that she can make the “hard decisions” at work, chooses not to extend an elderly woman’s mortgage. The old woman places a retaliatory curse on her that, after three days of escalating torment, will plunge her into the depths of Hell to burn for eternity.

Upon release, Drag Me to Hell was praised for its camp qualities and true gross-out moments (maggots, anyone?) racking up $90.8 million worldwide at the box office on a $30 million budget.

Back in 2023, Raimi teased that ideas for a sequel were being thrown around, although nothing has been confirmed just yet.
