This October, On Set Cinema is inviting you to come and play as they bring a bucket list event to Government Camp, Oregon. More specifically, to the Timberline Lodge, better known as The Overlook Hotel. That’s right, creeps! You can watch The Shining inside the infamous Overlook, where Kubrick shot those notorious exteriors. “The Timberline Lodge sits high on the shoulder of one of the most iconic mountain peaks in the Pacific Northwest and served as the actual filming location for the establishing exterior shots of the infamous Overlook Hotel in Stanley Kubrick’s cinematic adaptation of Stephen King’s terrifying novel, The Shining!”
Guests will have access to the hotel grounds for the day, as well as the lodge interior dining room, bar, cafe, gift shop, and more. And of course the bar will be themed for the event, no word on whether or not the best goddamned bartender from Timbuktu to Portland, Maine. Or Portland, Oregon, for that matter will be slinging drinks for attendees, but we suspect he wouldn’t be able to resist at least making an appearance. Guests of the screening will also received discount rates in case you’d like to stay overnight and make a real experience out of it. Just make sure you head down the mountain before the first snowfall, we hear the off-season caretaker is really a dull boy.

There will be a special themed bar for attendees, fun photo ops, raffles/giveaways and more!
