Manchester’s Grimmfest might have ended on October 9th, but the festival’s fright and fun isn’t over yet.
The team behind the International Festival of Fantastic Film are keeping the spooky spirit going even after Halloween with MONSTERS AND MOVIES, a weekend of screenings, in-depth talks and discussions with the creative talents behind some of the most significant and iconic monster movies of recent years.
Presented as part of the BFI’s IN DREAMS ARE MONSTERS season, a celebration of horror across the UK during October and November, Grimmfest’s MONSTERS AND MOVIES event will take place at the Odeon Great Northern in Manchester, UK on November 19th – 20th.
The monster event includes a huge mix of screenings from iconic horror classics to new additions, as follows:
- An American Werewolf in London (4K remastered),
- The Thing (4K remastered, with a specially recorded introduction from John Carpenter himself)
- The Descent (directed by Neil Marshall)
- The Lair (the latest from Neil Marshall)
- She Will (directed by Charlotte Colbert)
- Wolf Manor (directed by Dominic Brunt)
- The Hallow (directed by Corin Hardy)
- Sleepwalkers (30th Anniversary screening, presented by director Mick Garris and star Alice Krige)
