“Tell me scary stories or I’ll kill you!” I’m paraphrasing here, but that’s essentially the premise for David Yarovesky’s upcoming Nightbooks. An incredibly stylish witch (Krysten Ritter) holds a young boy (Winslow Fegley) hostage, sparing his life so long as he can spin a spooky tale. Based on J.A. White’s novel, the new Netflix adaptation looks wonderfully whimsical and macabre. Yarovesky stopped by to chat about the upcoming release, and what it was like teaming up with Sam Raimi, check out the full convo below:
Nightbooks is streaming exclusively on Netflix, September 15. Follow @ghp_tweets on Twitter, @ghosthousepics on Instagram, and keep an eye on the KINGCAST podcast as Yarovesky joins in this week to discuss The Mist.
This week, director David Yarovesky (BRIGHTBURN, this week’s NIGHTBOOKS) joins THE KINGCAST to investigate what the hell is going on out there in THE MIST.
What do we find? Frank Darabont’s cast-iron balls.
