Peter Cushing may be known by many as Grand Moff Tarkin from Star Wars, but make no mistake, we are talking about a bonafide horror legend. The man appeared in nearly two dozen Hammer horror films, including several turns as both Baron Frankenstein and Doctor Van Helsing. But Cushing has more than 130 acting credits to his name, meaning there are more than a few underseen gems in his filmography. To that end, the folks at Severin Films are highlighting some of those underseen films in a new collection, Cushing Curiosities, which hits shelves this fall, and weโ€™ve got an exclusive trailer for the collection to share with you. Check it out below!

Cushing Curiosities features five feature films and six BBC specials. The six-disc Blu-ray collection includes Cone of Silence, Suspect, The Man Who Finally Died, Bloodsuckers and Tender Dracula as far as the movies go. It also includes six rare Sherlock Holmes specials produced for the BBC, including The Hound of The Baskervilles. Itโ€™s a fascinating collection, particularly given that Bloodsuckers is not a particularly well-received film, but one that might warrant a reappraisal through the modern lens.

The set itself is beautifully packaged, including a 200-page booklet, impressive artwork and more than 16 hours of bonus features. In an age when studios are increasingly skimping on bonus features on new releases, this is most welcome. The set retails for $134.95 but is currently available for pre-order for $95. As for the special features? You can see the particulars below after checking out the trailer.

Cushing Curiosities is set to be released on October 17. For full details or to pre-order a copy, head on over to SeverinFilms.com. Be sure to check out the full list of special features below.
