Dubbed “one of the major discoveries of Fantasia 2023,” John Rosman’s directorial debut New Life heads to London’s FrightFest later this month – and ahead of its European premiere on August 25, we’ve got a brand new exclusive poster for you to feast your eyes on.
Starring Sonya Walger (For All Mankind, Lost), Hayley Erin (Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists), and Tony Amendola (Annabelle, Curse of Llorona), New Life centers on:
…a deadly cat and mouse chase across the Pacific Northwest between a mysterious woman on the run (Erin) and the resourceful government ‘fixer’ (Walger) assigned to bring her in, while fighting her body’s own personal struggle with ALS. As their two unique stories inextricably link, and a trail of bodies begin to mount, the stakes of the pursuit soon rise to apocalyptic proportions.
Since its sold-out Fantasia premiere, New Life has been steadily racking up all manner of great reviews, being called a “blistering multidimensional thriller that hits from all directions”, as one look at this chilling trailer will surely confirm.
New Life‘s new poster from Cardiff-based artist Matt Needle explores the medical elements of the film with a stark, minimal vision of a woman on the run, but trapped in a pill which she cannot escape. Director Rosman shared his love for the poster:
“Matt is a phenomenal artist. He has an innate ability to transform massive themes in a story into elegant, thought-provoking design. He does just this with his new work, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have it represent our film at FrightFest.”
FrightFest attendees can catch New Life at 6:15pm on the Empire Studios Main Screen. Further festivals for New Life will be announced, with North American sales spearheaded by XYZ Films and we’ll bring you more updates as and when we get them. For now, here’s a pill that’s definitely not hard to swallow:
