Writer/producer/star Sadie Katz has given FANGORIA an exclusive look at the first trailer and images from The Beast Inside, the debut production of her See You Next Tuesday Films. Katz, who has numerous horror acting credits including Wrong Turn 6: The Last Resort, 2016’s Blood Feast remake (as the goddess Ishtar), Hanukkah, and The Amityville Harvest, launched See You Next Tuesday as a vehicle to create stronger roles for herself and other women. Beast Inside certainly reflects that: It’s about a mother who becomes possessed by a demon and, when no one believes her, decides to perform a self-exorcism before she succumbs, allowing the evil to then target her young son.
“The film touches on themes of motherhood, mental illness, and addiction,” says Katz, who scripted with director Jim Towns. The cast also includes Vernon Wells (The Road Warrior), Laurene Landon (Maniac Cop), Victoria De Mare, John Pasquale, Anthony W. Preston, and Danelle Von Visger. Veteran composer Randy Edelman (The Mask, Anaconda) recently signed on to score the movie, and Katz says, “We are beyond thrilled to have someone of his experience come aboard.” Check out the trailer and pics below, and stay tuned for updates!
