For quite some time now, Amazon Prime has been plugging away at a TV series adaptation of Fallout, the darkly funny and frequently freaky Bethesda video game franchise. Set in a post-apocalyptic world filled with giant, radioactive scorpions, “feral ghouls,” Super Mutants, and a seemingly endless supply of weirdo characters, the series seems like the perfect thing for Westworld‘s Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy to be bringing to the small screen.
Information on Amazon’s Fallout series has been largely hard to come by, save for some leaked set photos (which revealed that the show’s production designers weren’t changing much from Bethesda’s designs) and a confirmed list of cast members (including Walton Goggins, Yellowjackets‘ Ella Purnell, and the great Kyle MacLachlan). But today brings us one very important piece of information: Fallout‘s arrival date.

As you can see, the official Fallout Twitter account dropped a fun little teaser today, one which seems to reveal that Nolan and Joy’s series will begin rolling out on Amazon Prime as of April 12th, 2024. That’s a mere six months away, which means we’re probably going to begin seeing more from this series in the weeks and months ahead. Fingers crossed that we get a trailer sooner than later!
It will be interesting to see where Amazon’s Fallout series takes us. Joy has described the show as “a gonzo, crazy, funny, adventure, and mindfuck like none youโve ever seen before,” which sounds absolutely perfect, and we’re excited to find out what kind of story this particular iteration of Fallout will be telling.
Nothing further to report on Fallout at this time, but rest assured we’ll be keeping our ear to the ground for further updates. Stay tuned, folks!
