Our cauldrons are bubbling and our pumpkins are percolating, Freeform is back with 31 Nights of Halloween. All October long, Freeform presents thirty-one nights of (mostly) family-friendly, spooky-leaning fare. The programming includes tried and true favorites, Hocus Pocus, The Addams Family, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Ghostbusters, Halloweentown and Casper. The list also includes some “horror adjacent” titles but what surprised us the most, tucked in amongst the primarily PG-13 programming was the October 11 double feature of Alien and Aliens. Unless they’re referring to some Toy Story version we haven’t seen, but pretty sure they’re talking about the 1979 Ridley Scott chest-bursting Alien and the 1986 James Cameron sequel. At least, we really, really hope so. Teach them young. We also couldn’t help but notice those seem to be the only two titles on the list that don’t have a repeat showing later in the month. One night only, Alien double-feature. Either way, we’re happy to see those two made their way on the list.
