Georgina Campbell in BARBARIAN.

In an exclusive today, Deadline have reported that Escape Room‘s Logan Miller is joining Barbarian breakout star Georgina Campbell in Psycho Killer, a new horror-thriller from New Regency.

Written by Andrew Kevin Walker (Se7en, Sleepy Hollow) and set to be directed by Gavin Polone (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Zombieland), Psycho Killer follows:

Jane Thorne (Campbell), a police officer who makes it her mission to take down a serial killer referred to on the news as the โ€˜Satanic Slasher,โ€™ following the murder of her state trooper husband. Miller will play Marvin, a goth-type nebbish who works for the mysterious Pendleton in his massive mansion.

Deadline reminds us that Miller also previously been seen in features including the SXSW-premiering second-family comedy Being Frank with Jim Gaffigan and Anna Gunn, Greg Berlantiโ€™s GLAAD Media Award winner Love, Simon and Ry Russo-Youngโ€™sBefore I Fall for Open Road, as well as A Dogโ€™s Purpose, Scoutโ€™s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, The Stanford Prison Experiment and Night Moves.
Campbell has, of course, now solidified her place in horror infamy by starring as Tess in last year’s Barbarian, Zach Cregger’s riotous directorial debut. She also starred in Black Mirror‘s dark dating-app love story episode Hang the DJ.

In an interview with iNews, the actress expressed where her love for the horror genre comes from (and we’re sure an awful lot of us horror fans can relate):

โ€œWhen I was younger, I used to have night terrors […] I used to sleepwalk. I think as I got to the age where I could watch horror films, I found some sort of comfort in it, because I would have really scary dreams and was quite scared of going to sleep. Watching horror films is like, you get to watch something thatโ€™s scary but you know itโ€™s not real, and I was able to break it down in thatย way.โ€

Psycho Killer is heading into production in early spring (so presumably any day now). Consider us very interested by this casting, plot synopsis and impossibly catchy title. Now, enjoy the rest of your day with Psycho Killer stuck in your head!
