USA Today just quietly dropped a photo of Scream VI ‘s Ghostface in their 2023 movies you’ll want to watch list. You’ve got that, right! Now, admittedly I’ve never been to New York, so my Big Apple knowledge stems entirely from movies (some shot there, some using NY stand-ins), photographs, and secondhand accounts. But peep that tall brick building in the background, I’d say it looks sufficiently removed from the suburbs of Woodsboro… Ghostface in the big city? I’m a believer!

The masked menace of Woodsboro looms large with a hint of graffiti in the background. From the first teaser, wherein Ghostface and the previous installment’s survivors take the subway, the good folks of Radio Silence are firmly planting us in the city. The New York setting is something we’ve known for a bit, but we still know nothing about the plot (that’s ok, it’s kind of fun that way for now). All we’ve got on that front is the official synopsis of:
“Following the latest Ghostface killings, the four survivors leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.”
The Scream VI cast includes returning Woodsboro survivors Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Mason Gooding, and Jasmin Savoy Brown. They’ll also be joined by Dermot Mulroney, Samara Weaving, Tony Revolori and more. Neve Campbell won’t be joining the New York antics, but Courteney Cox is returning for another round. Scream VI hits theaters March 10, and of course we’ll be sharing all the goods we’ve got as they drop.
