We’re big fans of Behaviour Interactive’s Dead by Daylight here at FANGORIA HQ. A survival horror game that’s gone to great lengths to add many of our favorite horror icons (Pinhead from Hellraiser, Sadako from The Ring, Halloween‘s Michael Meyers) into the mix via a seemingly endless parade of DLC packs, Dead by Daylight is a lot of fun for fans of the genre.
Today, they’re adding yet another icon to their ever-expanding roster of guest stars:

That’s right – the one and only Nicolas Cage is joining Dead by Daylight. The trailer indicates that Cage’s DLC may unfold on a film set, with the Renfield star appearing as an actor (or possibly a director) who’s gone violently mad in the process of filming his latest movie. We are, of course, speculating on that based on the footage above, but we’ll find out for sure in a few months.
This is a bold step for Dead by Daylight! It’s also a bold step for Cage, who (as far as we know) has never starred in a video game before. Well, that’s not entirely true: part of Renfield‘s promotional campaign included a themed, lo-fi mini-game you could play in your browser, but this is something else entirely.
Needless to say, we are very curious to see where Behaviour Interactive is going with all this, and will be keeping our eyes peeled when July 5th rolls around. Stay tuned for further updates just as soon as they roll in, gang.
