It’s only been a month or so since Jordan Peele’s Nope hit theaters, but you know how release windows work these days: they’re shorter than ever before, which means that folks who still aren’t comfortable heading to their local multiplex (or folks who simply couldn’t find the time to get to one) can now enjoy new movies in the comfort of their own homes very soon after their theatrical debut. Nope, which has earned well over $100m at the worldwide box office thus far, is no exception.
This Friday, Peele’s latest will hit digital On Demand, bringing all of Nope‘s grisly extraterrestrial hijinks directly to your living room (or your attic or your weird little boathouse or wherever the hell it is you rent and watch movies these days; I don’t know your life). Team FANGO loved this movie, as you’ve surely noticed by now, and I’m very excited to go another round with it. Nope was a movie that I enjoyed on first viewing, but then kept turning over in my mind in the days and weeks that followed, becoming something of a small obsession during that time. I’m curious to find out how it holds up on second viewing, and eager to see the full Gordy’s Home sequence for the first time (I chose the wrong time to hit the restroom during the press screening).
Anyway, get ready for that on Friday. Looking for a way to pass the time? Why not head on over to this link to pick up your very own copy of FANGORIA’s latest issue, which just so happens to feature Nope‘s secret weapon on the cover.
