Found-footage fans rejoice: haunted house franchise Hell House LLC will add a new chapter next year with Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor.
Stephen Cognetti’s Hell House LLC series began in 2015, with the first film following an investigation into a suspicious and tragic Halloween haunt accident at the mysterious Abaddon hotel. Two sequels – Hell House LLC II: The Abaddon Hotel and Hell House LLC III: Lake of Fire – followed in 2018 and 2019 respectively, exploring the malevolent history behind the hotel and its inhabitants.
The news of a new entry was announced during a premiere of Lake of Fire on YouTube earlier this weekend. According to Terror Films’ official YouTube announcement, the new entry is the first chapter of what will become known as the HELL HOUSE LLC ORIGIN films and follows
“…a group of cold case investigators [who] stay at the Carmichael Manor, site of the grisly and unsolved murders of the Carmichael family back in the eighties. After four nights, the group was never heard from again. What is discovered on their footage is even more disturbing than anything found on the Hell House tapes.”
Hell House LLC is considered to be one of the scarier entries into the found-footage genre in recent years, with one particular scene solidifiying its place in the creepy clown hall of fame.
Distributor Terror Films announced The Carmichael Manor will premiere exclusively on Shudder in the fall of next year, although no exact date is yet known.
