If you’re in Southern California this weekend, we’ve got some great news for you! Season’s Screamings will be haunting the halls of the Pasadena Convention Center Friday through Sunday. The folks that brought us Midsummer Scream have a ton of winter-centric horrors in store. Our Kingcast boys will be hosting a very special The Shining legacy panel at noon on Saturday, featuring two directors who have adapted the novel’s characters to the screen, and two actors who have portrayed the tortured lead character of Jack Torrance.

In addition to The Kingcast panel, Season’s Screamings also features the Hall Of Yuletide Spirits! What’s that? Picture if you will, a mini sampler of walk-through haunted attractions, but in this instance, of course, they come with a holiday twist. Enter if you dare.

The fun kicks off Friday night with “The Island of Misfit Tease” burlesque show. Other “Naughty Happenings” include Saturday’s newly added “The Nightmare Before Dragmas” holiday horror drag show starring April Showers, LUXE the Drag Queen, and more. Saturday and Sunday afternoon offer up a Krampus run, join them (or outrun them!) If you’re looking to balance that out with some “Nice Happenings”, we’ve got you covered. Over 200 spooky vendors will be hawking their wares all weekend long. On Saturday, you can learn about the making of How the Grinch Stole Christmas with animator Phil Roman and the families of Boris Karloff (voice of the Grinch) and Chuck Jones (lead animator and director).

There’s also a secret screening scheduled for Saturday night hosted by James A. Janisse and Chelsea Rebecca, our Dead Meat pals. James and Chelsea will introduce “a special, top-secret screening of a brand-new, unreleased holiday horror feature film starring the lead actor from one of this year’s most terrifying films!” We’ve got a guess, but we won’t spoil the fun with speculation!

Closing out the festivities on Sunday evening is a special “Flanaverse Reunion” panel. Cast members of The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass, Doctor Sleep, and more will join director Mike Flanagan for a discussion of his Haunting anthology series and other projects. Check out the full schedule here.

And of course, what would a convention be without some sweet meet-and-greets and photo opps? The Yuletide offerings include the likes of Mike Flanagan, Kate Siegel, Henry Thomas, Keith David, Silent Night Deadly Night‘s Robert Brian Wilson, Silent Night Deadly Night 2‘s Eric (“Garbage day!”) Freeman, and more. Get your tickets and more info on the official website.
