Heads up, as Hulu is bringing a new sci-fi/ horror flick to the comfort of home this fall in the form of No One Will Save You. Starring Kaitlyn Dever of Booksmart and Dopesick fame, the streaming service has announced a release date for the movie, which will officially drop on September 22. Mark your calendars and plan accordingly. We’ve also got a first-look image, which you can see above, and a title treatment, which you can check out below.

Described as a “captivating sci-fi psychological thriller,” the movie will arrive exclusively on Hulu in the U.S. For our international viewers, it will be available on Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ in all other territories. Brian Duffield wrote and directed No One Will Save You, and he’s no stranger to the genre. He previously wrote both of Netflix’s Babysitter movies, as well as two underseen 2020 gems in the form of Underwater and Love and Monsters. Most recently, Duffield wrote and produced the animated Skull Island series for Netflix. The last movie he directed was the criminally underrated Spontaneous, which I would encourage anyone to seek out. As for what his latest effort is all about? The synopsis reads as follows:

“No One Will Save You” introduces Brynn Adams (Dever), a creative and talented young woman who’s been alienated from her community. Lonely but ever hopeful, Brynn finds solace within the walls of the home where she grew up—until she’s awakened one night by strange noises from decidedly unearthly intruders. What follows is an action-packed face-off between Brynn and a host of extraterrestrial beings who threaten her future while forcing her to deal with her past.”

The filmmaking team also features Joseph Trapanese (Prisoners of Ghostland), who composed the movie’s soundtrack. Tim White, Trevor White, Allan Mandelbaum and Duffield are on board as producers, with Dever and Joshua Throne serving as executive producers.

For now, all we’ve got is the image of Dever and the plot details. But with the release date locked in and creeping up fast, we should be learning more sooner rather than later. Expect a trailer to drop pretty much any day now, and we’ll be sure to bring that your way as soon as it’s available. Stay tuned.

Look for No One Will Save You on Hulu beginning September 22.
