We’ve been fans of the V/H/S series for a solid decade now (that’s right: believe it or not, the original V/H/S came out in 2012), and were hyped to hear that a brand-new chapter, V/H/S/99, would be landing on Shudder this October. So many horror anthologies are simply too uneven, too scattershot to leave any kind of mark on the pop culture landscape, but this franchise just keeps knocking ’em out of the park.
And so, you can imagine how excited we were to see a brand-new, official poster for V/H/S‘s latest installment making the rounds on Twitter this morning. The piece comes to us from Creepy Duck Design, an artist who started out doing fan art and ended up working in the big leagues, and boy is it pretty:

Pretty great, right? Well done, Creepy Duck!
Like previous V/H/S films, V/H/S/99 features a handful of directors unleashing their uniquely-crafted, terrifying visions on horror fans. This time around, the franchise has brought in Maggie Levin (Into The Dark: My Valentine), Tyler MacIntyre (Tragedy Girls), Johannes Roberts (Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City), Vanessa and Joseph Winter (Deadstream), and — last, but certainly not least — the great Flying Lotus (Kuso) to direct the film’s various segments. All are new to the franchise, and we cannot wait to see what they’ve come up with.
V/H/S/99 hits Shudder on October 20th. Go ahead and start planning your viewing parties…now.
