Launched in 2010, the long-running Insidious franchise is still going strong more than a dozen years later, with a new chapter (Insidious: Chapter 5) due to hit theaters this summer and, revealed just this morning, a brand-new 4K UHD version of the original film. Are you gonna pass up on owning the best-looking version of Insidious ever released? We’re not.

OK, so it’s not the most stacked 4K UHD SteelBook release ever, but that’s fine: we can wait for the inevitable, extras-packed Scream Factory release on that one (no, we don’t know anything, but come on: it’s bound to happen sooner or later). And besides, the real reason-to-buy here is absolutely the original Insidious in 4K UHD. Just think of all the ghosts we probably missed, lurking in the shadows or behind a piece of furniture, when we watched this movie in standard def. There’s probably thousands of them!
Anyhoo, the Insidious 4K UHD SteelBook drops on June 20th. Insidious: Chapter 5 (directed by series star Patrick Wilson!) does not have an official release date as of this writing, but we’ll keep you informed about that one as further updates roll in. Stay tuned!
