Living With Chucky, the new documentary about the iconic pint-sized psycho will hit Cinedigm and Bloody Disgusting’s SCREAMBOX on April 4, with an official Blu-ray release following on April 18. Written and directed by Kyra Elise Gardner (daughter of legendary special effects artist and leading puppeteer on the Chucky tv series Tony Gardner), the doc will explore the history of the Child’s Play franchise, in addition to Gardner’s own relationship with the series and the impact it had on her family. Gardner grew up with Chucky after all, even lovingly referring to him as her “mass murdering 3-foot-tall redheaded stepbrother”.

Living with Chucky takes an in depth look at the groundbreaking Child’s Play franchise from the perspective of a filmmaker who grew up within it. Featuring interviews with cast and crew such as Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, Alex Vincent, creator Don Mancini, and much more, this personal film recounts the dedication, creativity and sacrifice that went into making the franchise and its long-lasting impact on the horror community.
That’s right, all the cornerstones of the entire Child’s Play universe will share their tales, anecdotes and general behind-the-scenes shenanigans, including detailing the first meeting of everybody’s favorite killer dolls.
In the clip, Jennifer Tilly aka Miss Tiffany Valentine tells us of her first time seeing Chucky and how the start of one of horror’s most legendary pairings really was love at first sight.
