We have a tasty treat for you this morning, a brand new Suitable Flesh teaser. What makes this little morsel extra special is the fact that this particular goodie was whipped up especially for you by none other than the film’s director, one Mr. Joe Lynch. That’s right, Fangorians, our pal Joe cut this one together specifically for you and we are pretty damn excited about it! In case you haven’t been following along and chomping at the bit for this once since it’s announcement, Suitable Flesh just premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival over the weekend.
Lynch’s latest feature film is an adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s “The Thing on the Doorstep” and stars some of our favorite people (including Barbara Crampton, Heather Graham, Bruce Davison, and Johnathon Schaech). The story follows psychiatrist Elizabeth Derby (Graham), who becomes obsessed with helping a young patient suffering from an extreme personality disorder. But her desire to help leads her into dark occult danger as she tries to escape a horrific fate.
Let’s take a look at that exclusive teaser we mentioned.
It looks sexy, and it looks like there is at least one severed head in the mix. And did Heather Graham just lick Barbara Crampton’s face?! Unhinged! Just the way we like it, and all we could hope for in the realm of Stuart Gordon-esque, Lovecraftian fare. We are incredibly jealous of the folks who got to soak this in at Tribeca. As for the rest of us, no solid date just yet, but we do know Suitable Flesh will hit theaters, VOD and digital later this year, with its streaming debut on Shudder to follow. We’ll keep you posted on the when, in the meantime, watch that teaser a few more times to satiate your hunger for flesh.
