As you can see, this is the first poster for Lynch’s Suitable Flesh, a brand-new horror film based on H.P. Lovecraft’s “The Thing on the Doorstep.” Starring Heather Graham, FANGORIA fave Barbara Crampton, Bruce Davison, Judah Lewis and the great Johnathon Schaech, the film is due to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival this Sunday. Apparently, poster artist extraordinaire Creepy Duck Design whipped up this poster to mark the occasion, and what a looker it is!
For those who haven’t been keeping up, Suitable Flesh “follows psychiatrist Elizabeth Derby (Graham), who becomes obsessed with helping a young patient suffering extreme personality disorder. But her desire to help leads her into dark occult danger as she tries to escape a horrific fate.”
We’re dying to find out how Lynch’s always-entertaining sensibilities map onto an H.P. Lovecraft adaptation (we’re guessing things’re gonna get gooey), and hope that the film’s forthcoming Tribeca premiere will finally shake loose a trailer for this bad boy. Stay tuned for further updates on Suitable Flesh as they roll in, folks! We’re keeping a close eye on this one!
