Good news for anyone who wants more Julia Fox in their movies: the Uncut Gems and No Sudden Move actress has officially joined the cast of GOAT, an upcoming psychological thriller from producer Jordan Peele and director Justin Tipping.
As reported by Deadline, GOAT revolves around “a promising young athlete who is invited to train with a teamโs retiring star.” Tyriq Withers will star as the former, while Scary Movie‘s Marlon Wayans will play the latter. As of this writing, it’s unknown what Fox’s role will entail, but we’re delighted to hear she’s involved.
GOAT‘s screenplay was written by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie, and was strong enough to land itself on the Black List. Tipping, meanwhile, is best known for his directiorial work on television, including episodes of Dear White People and Flatbush Misdemeanors. Jordan Peele and his Monkeypaw Productions probably need no introduction to the FANGORIA crowd, but if you’re unfamiliar, just rest assured that we’re likely in very good hands here.
Nothing further to report on GOAT at this time, but do stay tuned for further updates as they roll in.
