During a surprise Netflix Geeked Week announcement, Ito stopped in to share the news about the upcoming Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre. For the anthology series, Ito selected twenty of his stories to be adapted into anime for the first time, he shared three works that will be included: Tomie, Souichi, and The Hanging Balloons while also clarifying there is no final confirmation just yet on which Tomie and Souichi stories will be adapted.
