Hideo Kojima and Jordan Peele’s OD wasn’t the only horror game revealed during the 2023 Game Awards ceremony (see that trailer here, if you haven’t already): Saber Interactive and Universal Games also unveiled the first trailer for Jurassic Park: Survival, a first-person stealth/survival horror game that will challenge players to escape John Hammond’s famously dino-infested island.
Let’s take a look…
As you can see, Jurassic Park: Survival takes place immediately after the events of Jurassic Park (1993), and follows an InGen employee who failed to evacuate Isla Nublar alongside Alan Grant and company. Stranded and left for dead, Dr. Maya Joshi will have to navigate her way across the island and escape it while stealthily avoiding its many razor-toothed inhabitants.
Most of what’s here is pre-rendered footage (this one won’t be along for some time), but the glimpses we do get of actual gameplay look like the Jurassic Park game of our dreams. It also looks intense and legit scary, which is, well, not something we can say for the various Jurassic Park building simulators we’ve played over the years. Consider us hyped!
Nothing further to report on Jurassic Park: Survival at this time, but rest assured we’ll keep you informed as further trailers and updates make their way online. Stay tuned for those, folks!
