Ready for another Longlegs teaser? Of course you are. Oh, you thought NEON were done with the terrifying marketing? You wish.
Today’s brand new snippet, aptly titled Heartbeat, shows us a brand new clip from Osgood Perkins’ hugely hyped serial killer horror, showing us star Maika Monroe (It Follows) and her very first reaction to the titular Longlegs himself, Nicolas Cage.
Of course, wisely, the clip doesn’t show us Cage in all his full glory – you’ll need to catch Longlegs in theaters this Friday, July 12 for the full shocking reveal – but it does tell us that Monroe’s real life heartbeat hit a palpitating 170bpm.
For context, a healthy bpm for a woman of Monroe’s age is about 60-100bpm, and the clip tells us her resting heart rate is usually around 76bpm. Needless to say, whatever Monroe saw in that room shocked her silly.
