According to a new report over at Deadline Hollywood, Megan Fox is reuniting with her Till Death director S.K. Dale for a brand-new sci-fi/horror thriller by the name of Subservience. The project, written by Will Honley (Escape Room: Tournament of Champions) and April Maguire (Lost Girls), will be going in front of cameras in Bulgaria early next month.
Alright, so what’s it about? Says Deadline:
“The film is about a struggling father (Morrone) who purchases a domestic SIM (Fox) to help care for his house and family until she gains awareness and turns deadly.”
Killer robots seem to be a popular topic these days, don’t they? Joe Begos’ Christmas Bloody Christmas just delivered a killer, robo-Santa Claus with laser beam eyes. Next month’s M3GAN (from director Gerard Johnstone and Malignant screenwriter Akela Cooper) Tik-Tok dances its way into theaters next month. And now we have Subservience, where Megan (Fox) may be playing her own kind of M3GAN. Perhaps the rise in A.I. technology has everyone a little spooked?
Subservience director S.K. Dale has the following to say about his project:
“This film will show a side of Megan that we have never seen before. The cast that we are assembling will elevate this emotionally-charged story and I cannot wait to show you all what we have in store.”
Intriguing! There’s nothing further to report on Subservience at this time, but we will of course be keeping our ear to the ground for more information, and will provide you with those updates as they roll in. Do stay tuned, everyone!
