San Diego Comic-Con is back, and Mondo is bringing exclusive They Live prints and a new Dumpster Fire from our friend 100% Soft. The poster features everything we love about John Carpenter’s classic in 100% Soft’s trademark kawaii style and comes in regular and a variant that features metallic and glow-in-the-dark inks. In addition to the poster, 100% Soft created a They Live spin on his viral Dumpster Fire vinyl figure.
I came here to do two things: chew bubblegum and make my THIRD John Carpenter poster for Mondo… and I’m all out of bubblegum! My Mondo posters typically encapsulate all the iconic scenes from my favorite movies, and with They Live there’s a few things I immediately think about: the sunglasses, subliminal messages, the cheese dip heads, and of course Roddy Piper and Keith David’s incredible alleyway fight, which I decided to makeย the centerpiece of this poster for obvious reasons.
Mondo will be set up in Funkoville at the convention for all you fiends to consume these new pieces. They will also drop the regular print and vinyl figures online for those not at SDCC. Put your sunglasses on and take a peek at the new art and all the details on where to consume:
