If you’re even remotely interested in the UAP/UFO phenomenon, then you’re probably already aware that Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge is a major player in the world surrounding that topic. The co-founder of the To the Stars Academy, DeLonge’s passion for extraterrestrial life and its possible visitations to Earth is well-documented (there’s literally a Blink-182 song called “Aliens Exist”), seemingly legitimate, and – if you’ve ever heard the man talk about the subject at length – pretty damn entertaining to listen to.
Now, DeLonge has co-written and directed his very first feature film, Monsters of California, which channels his interests in this subject matter into what appears to be an honest-to-god creature feature (co-starring Richard Kind, no less!), and today brings us the first trailer for the film.
Let’s take a look…
Not too shabby! This looks competently made, appropriately cheeky, and just the right amount of conspiracy-minded. And, again, it also co-stars Richard Kind. This is a huge selling point for us here at FANGORIA HQ: if you put Richard Kind in your horror movie, we’re gonna watch it. That’s the deal.
As you can see, Monsters of California “follows teenager Dallas Edwards and his derelict friends on a quest to find the meaning behind a series of mysterious, paranormal events in Southern California,” and (in addition to tha God Richard Kind) also stars Casper Van Dienย (Salvage Marines), Jack Samsonย (Zodiac),ย Camille Kostekย (Free Guy), andย Arianne Zuckerย (Days of Our Lives).
So, when can we see it? According to Gizmodo, who debuted the trailer above earlier today, Monsters of California will hit select theaters and OnDemand on October 6th. Stay tuned for more on this one if and when further updates become available, and in the meantime … keep an eye on the skies.
