NEON’s really been on a roll this year with their horror titles. Michael Mohan’s Immaculate performed well at the box office and inspired a veritable feast of memes; Tilman Singer’s Cuckoo went over like gangbusters at SXSW; and Oz Perkins’ Longlegs has the crowd worked into a frenzy with its increasingly-creepy marketing campaign. And guess what? Now there’s another trailer.

Someone smarter than we are will have to decode the symbols buried in this tease (hey, the internet did it in record time on Longlegs‘ previous trailers), but we love everything else going on here. This movie looks positively steeped in dread, unsettling vibes, and the sort of cryptically cult-y horror we love around here. We will say it again: Longlegs cannot get here quickly enough.
For those just joining the conversation, here’s an official plot synopsis:
“FBI Agent Lee Harker is assigned to an unsolved serial killer case that takes an unexpected turn, revealing evidence of the occult. Harker discovers a personal connection to the killer and must stop him before he strikes again.”
Longlegs stars Maika Monroe as FBI Agent Harker and Nicolas Cage as the titular killer, alongside performances from Blair Underwood, Kiernan Shipka, Alicia Witt, and Lisa Chandler. Written and directed by Oz Perkins, it’s one of our most anticipated horror movies of the summer. We’ll see you at the theater on July 12th.
