There’s only a couple of weeks left until April 19 and the  theatrical release of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett aka Radio Silences much-anticipated ballerina bloodbath Abigail – and to get you in the mood, Universal Pictures have unleashed a brand new trailer for the “brash, blood-thirsty” and R-rated vampire flick.

Abigail’s stacked cast includes Melissa Barrera (Scream, Your Monster), Dan Stevens (The Guest, Cuckoo), Kathryn Newton (Freaky, Lisa Frankenstein), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, MaXXXine) William Catlett (Black Lightning), Kevin Durand (Resident Evil: Retribution) and Angus Cloud (Euphoria). Alisha Weir (Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical, Darklands) stars as Abigail.

Written by Stephen Shields (The Hole in the Ground, Zombie Bashers) and Guy Busick (Scream franchise, Ready or Not), Abigail (which was previously known as Dracula’s Daughter) plot synopsis reads as follows:

After a group of would-be criminals kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, all they have to do to collect a $50 million ransom is watch the girl overnight. In an isolated mansion, the captors start to dwindle, one by one, and they discover, to their mounting horror, that they’re locked inside with no normal little girl.

Today’s new trailer gives us a better look at that spooky old mansion and what seems to be a corpse-riddled basement, as well as teasing that sweet little Abigail might pack more of a punch than your average vampire. And if today’s new featurette over at Bloody Disgusting is anything to go by, Abigail is a bloodbath to rival the ending of Radio Silence’s Ready or Not (iykyk).

Don’t forget you can read more about Abigail in the upcoming issue of FANGORIA, which features the bloody little monster as cover girl!
