As you surely don’t need to be told by now, David Gordon Green’s trilogy-capping Halloween Ends hits theaters in a matter of weeks, which means we are very much in the thick of it on the promotional front. We’ve seen a billion exclusive images, a number of teasers and trailers, and now we have entered the “featurette” stage of the marketing blitzkrieg. These things can be real or hit or miss, but Halloween Ends‘ latest featurette offers something of a victory lap for Jamie Lee Curtis and Laurie Strode.
You are therefore obligated to both watch and respect it!
Is this truly the end for Jamie Lee Curtis and Halloween movies? We’ve certainly heard that one before, but something about this project – which, as mentioned above, spans an entire trilogy of Halloween films – makes us think she’s not fooling around this time. However Halloween Ends chooses to wrap up Laurie Strode’s story (no pressure, David Gordon Green and company!) is very likely going to be it for her/the character, and we’re chomping at the bit to find out what they’ve come up with.
Good news is, we won’t be waiting much longer for answers: Halloween Ends lands in theaters on October 14th, and we’ll be there. Fingers crossed that they give Laurie Strode and Jamie Lee Curtis the send-off they deserve!
