Brian Duffield’s No One Will Save You remains one of our favorite movies of 2023, a lean, mean, and ultimately shocking alien invasion thriller the likes of which we’d never really seen before (if you can name another dialogue-free alien invasion thriller featuring super pissed-off grey aliens and an ending absolutely no one saw coming, we will be forced to retract that statement), and now – thanks to a newly-released VFX breakdown video – we’re getting a look at how it all came together.

The work, done by DNEG, shows off how some of No One Will Save You‘s most memorable shots were assembled. Who could forget “alien peeking over refrigerator door,” “Red tractor beam shot,” and “Close-up of alien about to (REDACTED FOR SPOILERS)?” The digital work here is really to be admired, as ultra-detailed in its closeups as it is in its wide, far-off shots of No One Will Save You‘s troubling skies.

For those who haven’t seen Duffield’s film yet, No One Will Save You revolves around a young woman (Kaitlyn Dever) whose home gets invaded by one very mean-spirited grey alien. What happens next really should be left for first time viewers to discover on their own, but rest assured the film does not skimp on the alien stuff, and that the ending really is one for the ages (even if you’re not onboard with it, you’re guaranteed to be surprised).

Indeed, if you have not already seen No One Will Save You, please drop what you’re doing, fire up Hulu, and check out the best extraterrestrial horror movie since Nope. You won’t regret it.
