FredHeads: The Documentary serves as a love letter to A Nightmare on Elm Street fans, made by fans, and it’s coming to Tubi this summer! Directed by Paige Troxell and Kim Gunzinger, this highly anticipated documentary offers a deep dive into the world of A Nightmare on Elm Street fans, exploring the enduring popularity of Freddy Krueger and how one franchise formed life-long friendships and irreplaceable memories. The team opened up submissions from FredHeads worldwide, asking them to answer one question, “What makes you a FredHead?”

Through years of interviews with fans, collectors, and creatives, the film takes us into the world of conventions and the world of die-hard fans as we explore the personal stories and community that have grown around this iconic movie franchise, and the enduring appeal of horror as a genre.

“We wanted to create a film that not only celebrates the legacy of ‘Nightmare on Elm Street,’ but also delves into the passionate fan culture that has developed around Freddy Krueger,” said directors Troxell and Gunzinger. “We’ve been blown away by the stories we’ve heard from fans around the world, and we can’t wait to share their experiences with audiences.”
