Tickets are now on sale via Fandango for Michael Sarnoski’s highly-anticipated A Quiet Place: Day One, a prequel that will – as its title implies – show us what went down in NYC on the day the Quiet Place creatures made their dramatic (and wildly destructive) first appearance on Earth.

The news comes to us via press release from Fandango, which notes that Sarnoski’s film is apparently the most anticipated horror movie of the summer:

“Starting today, tickets are now available on Fandangoย forย A Quiet Place: Day One,ย coming to theaters on Friday, June 28. According toย Fandangoโ€™s 2024 Most Anticipated Summer Movies Surveyย of over 2,000 Fandango fans,ย A Quiet Place: Day Oneย was votedย the #1 most anticipated horror film and #2 most anticipated returning franchise this summer. The prequel was also voted the #4 overallย most anticipated summer movie in Fandangoโ€™sย 2024 Moviegoing Trends & Insights Study of over 6,000 moviegoers.”

Not too shabby! You can pick up for tickets for A Quiet Place: Day One via that Fandango link above, but first: here’s a just-released featurette wherein the film’s various cast members, including Lupita Nyong’o and Djimon Hounsou, tell us a bit more about what we can expect from Sarnoski’s film:

Michael Sarnoski is, of course, the director behind 2021’s excellent Pig, starring Nicolas Cage. Sarnoski also wrote the A Quiet Place: Day One screenplay, which strikes us as a nice added bonus. Lupita Nyong’o and Djimon Hounsou are certainly no strangers to the horror genre: Nyong’o turned in a fantastic performance in Jordan Peele’s Us, while Hounsou will here be reprising his role from A Quiet Place Part II.

Oh, and speaking of A Quiet Place: Part II, it might not be a bad idea to refresh your memory of this franchise’s two previous installments before A Quiet Place: Day One lands. As it happens, Fandango can help you with that, as well. Says their press release:

“To catch up before the release of A Quiet Place: Day One,ย audiences can rewatch the first twoย A Quiet Placeย films with theย two-movie bundleย from Fandango at Home. Get your tickets toย A Quiet Place: Day Oneย onย Fandango today.”

Nothing further to report on A Quiet Place: Day One at this time, but we are definitely eager to check out Sarnoski’s latest when it hits theaters on June 28th. Stay tuned between now and then for any further updates that might cross our radar!
