The Barn Part II feels like dipping your hand into a plastic trick-or-treat jack ‘o lantern. It’s a grab bag of All Hallows goodness, with cameo treats and violent tricks. Fresh off the festival circuit, taking home Best Horror Feature at Nightmares Film Festival and Best Supporting Actress at Genre Blast Film Festival, the sequel to the 2016 retro slasher The Barn is coming home. Writer director Justin M. Seaman shares his feelings on returning to The Barn exclusively with FANGORIA.
“Getting a chance to revisit The Barn several years later was such a blast! It was great reconnecting with old friends and welcoming all the new people into the monster family. This one is definitely different from the first. I feel like the original has a certain charm to it with its small town trick-or-treat setting and spooky Halloween vibes. Part II is much more like a ’90s Full Moon feature haunted house slaughter-fest! You can appreciate each film separately.”

It’s been three years since Michelle (Lexi Dripps) escaped the events in Wheary Falls. However, she is still plagued with the questions of what truly happened to Sam and Josh (Mitchell Musolino and Will Stout) and the rest of her friends that disappeared on Halloween night. Now in college, Michelle and best friend, Heather (Sable Griedel) are put in charge of the annual Gamma Tau Psi haunted house. Unfortunately for Michelle some uninvited trick or treaters from her past come knocking…and this time they’ve brought their friends…
