2022 has been a pretty food-filled year for horror, with titles such as The Feast, A Banquet, Flux Gourmet, Feed Me and The Menu all tantalizing our taste buds and terrorizing our thoughts. Joining this smorgasbord of culinary creeps is The Recipe, a new short from LA-based director Cameron Holly Dexter.
The Recipe was written by Dexter and Leslie O’Neil, and stars The Human Centipede’s Ashlynn Yennie, Luke Barnett (Faith Based) and Leah Grosjean (Birds of Paradise). The ‘70s based short follows a housewife who “procures all the ingredients for a deadly dish that liberates her from not only her marriage, but reality itself.”

The Recipe will premiere this Friday, October 14th at LA’s Screamfest, before John Ainslie’s psychedelic honeymoon nightmare Do Not Disturb. Grab your tickets for The Recipe and Do Not Disturb here – but judging from the trailer, you might wanna see this one on an empty stomach…
