It’s been two years since Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife apparated into theaters, and over a year since Sony confirmed that a sequel was en route. Allegedly titled Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the latest installment in this incredibly long-legged franchise is directed by Monster House‘s Gil Kenan, will reportedly bring the action back to good ol’ NYC, and is set to hit theaters on March 29th of next year.
So, when will we get our first look at it? We’re glad you asked!

According to the official Ghostbusters Twitter account, the first trailer for Kenan’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife sequel (whatever it may be called!) is due to arrive tomorrow, at which point we’ll likely get an official title alongside an eyeful of this movie’s spooks, specters, and returning cast members.
Speaking of, who’s onboard for the next Ghostbusters? A helluva lot of funny people, including Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjiani, Paul Rudd, and James Acaster,ย along withย Emily Alyn Lind,ย Ernie Hudson, Mckenna Grace,ย andย Carrie Coon. Some of these folks are returning from previous entries in the Ghostbusters series, so we already know who they’ll be playing … but as for the newcomers? Anyone’s guess, but here’s hoping we get to see Oswalt, Nanjiani and Acaster strapping on Proton packs.
Nothing further to report on Ghostbusters: It’s Probably Subtitled Frozen Empire at this time, but do stay tuned for tomorrow’s trailer drop (and other further Ghostbusters updates that might come along in the none-too-distant future)!
